And express your concerns to them. Obviously they do not want to use photos which were provided to them under inappropriate conditions like you describe. They should at least be able to verify the name of the photographer and model in the picture you saw.
A friend ran into a similar problem several years ago when she took her two young daughters who were about 11 and 8 at the time in for some test shots with a photographer who represented models for store advertising. He shot a couple hundred pictures of the girls in various clothing samples which he had at the studio and gave the proofs to their mother but no contract was ever signed
