Rainbow clothing Store for Women
A Rainbow clothing store opened Feb. 13 at the Price Chopper Plaza off Arsenal Street, moving into the space previously occupied by Fashion Bug.
The franchise store sells trendy womens clothing ranging from junior to plus sizes, including shoes and accessories such as jewelry, purses, hats, scarfs and umbrellas. The store has hired three full-time and five part-time employees and is seeking to hire up to four more as soon as possible, manager Michelle A. Eisloeffel said. Applications are available at the store.
Headquartered in Brooklyn, Rainbow was launched in 1935 and now has more than 1, 000 stores in the U.S., Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. Military discounts are offered at the store.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

We were living in Decatur, GA while I worked on the Ramada Inn as a plumber. On Friday nights I stood in line with dozens of others waiting to cash my paycheck at a liquor store. Chris waited in our little pale blue VW Beetle with the curtains drawn. Disgusted with the job and the town, we packed our sea bags, lashed them to the bumpers and headed west.
When I stopped to fill the gas tank ($2.50 did the job) a VW Bus filled with hippies pulled up behind us. Chris got out to stretch her legs and struck up a chat with one of the young women, and took a toke on her bomber. Chris told me the Rainbow Tribe was gathering at Strawberry Meadows in the Rocky Mountain State Park
