Workout clothes for petite women
Sweet Petites Apparel was established in 2006. The idea is a simple but powerful one. Make clothes that provide the perfect petite fit that many petite women struggle to find. Make clothes that flatter a womans natural curves. Make clothes that celebrate active, strong, and beautiful women.
For Sweet Petites founder Elizabeth Dutra, finding clothes, particularly active wear that flattered her smaller frame was often a challenge. The few clothing lines that did cater to petite women were often old-fashioned, outdated, or both.
She noticed scores of other petite women around her facing the same dilemma. And so, like many successful entrepreneurs before her, her business - Sweet Petites Apparel, was born out of a solution to that problem.
Perfecting the petite fit
Liz has spent many years studying the body contours and shapes of women, when she worked as a holistic health practitioner and had the opportunity for a hands-on experience observing different body types. When she decided to launch a line of clothing for petite women, the first thing she did was to simply listen to women and understand their concerns about fit, style and color.
Issues that bothered petites were discussed in detail, such as the need for a shorter inseam, a shorter rise and a comfortable waist band. Liz then hosted a Pattern Party, where she invited women with varying body types to participate and spent time measuring, comparing and tabulating statistics for the perfect fit. This was invaluable input and she took the time to understand and address their concerns.
Liz was determined to create a line of petite apparel that would be a perfect fit for women 5’ 4” and under. In keeping with that challenging goal, Sweet Petites Apparel is committed to bringing flattering, stylish and sexy active wear to petite women.
Elizabeth lived and traveled to several Latin America countries, while she worked on her Masters in International Relations. After graduating, she joined an agency funded by the State Department, which taught foreign business professionals about the U.S. market economy and small business development. Prior to this, she spent several years helping people to lead a healthier lifestyle and fostering health and wellness.

First I'd like to point out that BMI by calculation (height and weight) is not accurate for petite people who are physically fit. IE- mine puts me in the morbidly obese category even though my waist is 26", my hips are only 36", and I run half marathons and triathlons frequently. So- you should go by measurements and how your clothes fit rather than your BMI.
Cardio does not burn a ton of calories (not nearly as much as weights)And you won't gain weight as long as your intake doesn't greatly exceed your calorie usage. Also- be sure you eat enough carbs before your workout and do your weight training before your cardio
